This house was built in the traditional Canarian style at the beginning of the 20th Century. It was named "El Coronel" in memory of its proprietor who lived in the house for many years. Restored recently, the original architecture has been respected whilst at the same time it offers our guests the most comfortable stay possible. Due to the location and structure of the house, it is cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The countryside, sunny climate and unforgettable massages in the Whirlpool can all be enjoyed in the strictest privacy whilst contemplating the beautiful landscape.
This house is ideal for rest and relaxation and offers many opportunities for hiking. It is also ideal for astronomy lovers thanks to the clarity and beauty of the night sky.
House capacity 2 adults and 1 child (sofa).
A hundred-year-old house which is located in the "La Solana" district in the region of Tejeda within the "Nublo" Rural Park. Surrounded by mountains, the location is a privileged one. It is situated under the "Roque Bentayga" and has views of the "Roque Nublo" on the other side, both of which are symbolic landmarks of Gran Canaria. The "Roque Bentayga", located at more than 1400 metres above sea-level, was a sacred place of worship for the aborigines. The "Cuevas del Rey" (King's Caves), where the aborigines lived, are located nearby. These caves are unique in terms of landscape and on the inside aboriginal cave paintings can be found. Recently two cave painting sites with Tifinagh alphabet forms have been discovered. All this can be seen whilst hiking or visiting the eco-museum located next to the "Roque Bentayga" which is open to the public.
